Aim
Increase your awareness of children and young people’s
experiences of domestic abuse and how it affects and impacts on their lives. Develop
an understanding of the prevalence and potential consequences of domestic abuse
on children and young people.
Objectives
- Highlight the experiences of children and young people living with domestic
abuse
- Examine the possible indicators and consequences for
children and young people
- Consider the coping strategies children and young people use
- Encourage the notion of partnership working and promote good
practice
- Look at resources available for work with children young
people
- Highlight the role of local support agencies
